Overview
AmeriCommerce Payments powered by PayPal, is the recommended payment solution for accepting credit card payments on AmeriCommere. Competitive rates are available and setup is a snap. For more information, see AmeriCommerce Payments. However, if you're set on using another processor, rest assured: AmeriCommerce is integrated with over forty credit card processors and payment gateways like Authorize.net, Stripe, PayPal Express Checkout, and Pay with Amazon.
Automatic Credit Card Processing
AmeriCommerce integrates with over forty payment processors to provide real-time authorization and charging of credit cards. This is the preferred method of accepting payments online. If you're looking for a payment processor, the recommended option is AmeriCommerce Payments.
To enable automatic credit card processing, click Settings > Payments and Taxes > Payment Gateways, and then Signup up for AmeriCommerce Payments, or select your Payment Gateway. If using a third-party gateway such as Authorize.net or Stripe, supply your Payment Gateway's login information, set the store the gateway is to apply to (or select All) then click the Save. Manual Credit Card Processing
If you do not plan to use automatic credit card processing, simply do not enable a Payment Gateway, and you will be able to view the credit card information from the view order screen, which you can then enter into your merchant terminal for approval.
To enable displaying credit card information for a User Account, click Settings > Security> Users. Click the edit icon next to the user you wish to edit. Set the User Group to Customer Service or higher, then select Yes for View Credit Card Numbers.
PayPal Checkout
PayPal Checkout is a quick and easy way to start accepting credit cards fast and can be used in addition to your other payment methods in order to give customer's more ways to pay. Customers will shop and checkout on your site, then complete the payment portion of checkout at PayPal using the PayPal Checkout form. For more information, see: PayPal Checkout Setup.
Custom Payment Methods for Checks, Money Orders, Purchase Orders, and Store Credit
To define a payment method other than credit cards, PayPal Checkout, or Pay with Amazon, define a custom payment method in Settings > Payments and Taxes > Custom Payment Methods. This editor lets you build an unlimited number of Payment Types that accept text and date fields.
