We are currently aware of an issue with USPS Shipping Provider's API. USPS is currently experiencing issues causing failures when using their services to calculate rates.
This can cause slow site speed issues, timeouts when going to the Shopping Cart, order editor, or Checkout Page, and also estimating shipping on the product pages if USPS is active.
You may receive errors while trying to disable USPS when the API is unavailable, but if you succeed, performance would be improved. We suggest navigating to your Dashboard -> Settings -> Shipping -> Shipping Providers -> Edit USPS -> De-select Active -> Save.

You can utilize the fallback setting described in the settings section:
- Fallback Method: Custom Shipping Methods with Fallback enabled are ONLY used if all enabled shipping providers are temporarily down. They will not be available to the customer in normal circumstances.
