Rule Engine - set rule expire date

We have a promo going that if you buy a gauge tester, when it ships you automatically get sent an email with a coupon code for 10% off any of the gauges and sending units we sell.  The discount code has an expiration, but as far as I can tell there is no way to set an expiration date on the rule that sends the email.

I could see use cases for both when a rule should start and when the rule should stop.

  Hey Josh - can you share your preference on having this feature at the condition level or at the rule level?

  Hi Travis,

  At the moment I am not sure if there would be an advantage of one over the other. 

  In discounts I could see an advantage of having start/expire dates at the condition level as you can setup groups of conditions and each group of conditions could have differing start/expire dates, but as far as I know rules don't have the ability of grouped conditions currently like discounts do.  So without that, I am not sure if there would be a functional difference.
