The ability to set item multiples and order minimum by customer type

Because our last eCommerce provider couldn't do this, we were forced to have two separate sites. It would be a great convenience if we could require a certain customer type to only be able to order some products at reduced unit costs, in multiples of 10 or other quantity. (Wrapped packages of 10 is how many of our products come from our supplier). They could order 10, or 20 or 30 units for example. This makes it easier to pack and ship orders of many items to retailers. It would also be good to set an order total minimum for by customer. For example, wholesale customers' orders must be at least $100. Non wholesale customers (those without accounts) can order any number of items and order total - at full retail price, of course - anyone wishing to place an order who doesn't apply for an account sees and pays full price.

  You might be able to do this using the discounts and some other options. From my work recently on our site, it seems like this should be possible?
