Admin countdown alert for AC updates

I was in the middle of editing a detailed product description, went to hit "save", and got a message along the lines of, "Sorry, your store is being updated", and it kicked me out to the admin login screen. W.T.H.

A) Why can't this be done at night when I'm not trying to get work done, and

B) Maybe if there was some sort of alert or notice on the admin as to when a patch or update is scheduled to be applied, and how long it will take, it would be helpful...?!?

  In my experiance major upgrades or updates are usually done at night (usually between 12AM-5AM CST, ie local time for AmeriCommerce), and they post upcoming site maintentance to the Status Updates page: https://support.americommerce.com/hc/en-us/community/topics/115000345574-Status-Updates.  You can Follow that page to get email notifications of upcoming updates and other issues that may affect your store.

  That being said, if they need to push an update during the day, it would be nice if they could push a notification to the admin portal for the affected stores to alert us that the site will go down for whatever duration with a brief explination.
