Set Different Shipping Options for Each Warehouse

I'm in the process of adding some very large, very heavy items to my store. I've been struggling for days to find the best way to handle shipping on these items without messing up shipping on my other items (which are mostly smaller lightweight items, ordered in larger quantities)

During this, I realized that if I had the ability to change ALL shipping settings for a specific warehouse, it would not only solve this problem, but open up options for other issues as well.

Example:
I have set 40# as the maximum weight for packages in my store - this helps keep shipping quotes somewhat accurate because we won't pack too many things in one box. But now I'm adding items that weigh 100# - no shipping options show up because of the 40# weight limit.

Support suggested I set up LTL shipping, which allows a separate weight limit, and that SORT OF fixes my issue. But it limits my shipping offerings on these items. If I could still allow regular UPS and Fedex but with different weight limits, this would offer more shipping options to my customers.

  We have also come up against an issue where when we are dropshipping, some of the dropshipping warehouses will not allow certain shipping methods, like some of them will not use USPS or they do not allow overnight shipping methods.  I realize that you can adjust these on a product by product level, but this is quite cumbersome if you have very many products shipping from the dropshippper, and when it is a warehouse that is limiting the shipping options, it would be much easier to manage if we could manage that at the warehouse level.
