Query multiple fields on main order search bar

It would be great to be able to quickly query orders by customer name, email, item in order, or any other frequently used search fields, all from within the main search bar rather than having to open the advanced search options and use the fields in there.

The main bar being limited to ONLY order number queries is inefficient in my opinion since 1) humans rarely use the number system to query orders and are more likely to remember the customer's names. 2) in the event of a customer inquiry, more often than not, they don't know their order number anyways. And 3) just in general, a main search bar should be expected to return more than just one result. 

multi-field smart queries attached to the main search bar is just a more intuitive and common way of approaching a database search. If a user wants to guarantee that only a single field is searched, that should be the only time they need to open the advanced search options. 

In fact, the product search, and customer search bars function in this way, so I'm confused as to why the same functionality is not seen in the order search, which is arguably the most utilized search feature in any eCommerce store.

  I think this would be a nice time saver for us too, take my vote.

  Maybe even add manufacturer as a multi-check dropdown option for order search.
