Option to make product variant dropdown optional

An option for required/not required on variant group dropdown. So the customer can add an item to their cart without selecting an option from a variant dropdown.

 

I understand why this isn't a feature, as it doesn't make logical sense in most scenarios, but we have a lot of options on our products. Separating them into dropdowns would be great, but at the moment we have to make a 'blank' option on all of the dropdowns, which creates a lot of unnecessary clutter on order views.

  Hey Lewis,

  Have you tried selecting the non-inventory checkbox to make it optional?

  Hi,

  I wasn't aware of the description in that note. However, I have just tried this and it still doesn't allow the item to be added to the cart without selecting an option. Am I missing something or is this not working as intended?
