If Discount Method ID X Is Active and NOT Expired then Y Conditional

It would be great to have some conditional logic that would be based on the active status of a discount method not expired.

Ie, for Xmas if you have a Discount method which gives $/% off; as long as that promo is active you can display content on the theme (banner, text, etc) which would hide itself when the discount is no longer active.

Right now we are able to conditionally display content based on a date range which is helpful, but it would be even more useful if it could be tied to a specific discount
