Function to Anonymise a customer account
Since GDPR came along, we have had multiple requests from customer to remove their personal data from our system. We don't want to delete the customer accounts as we then loose all the sales records related to that account and all the stats that go with that. It would be helpful if we could just go to a customer account and have an option to strip the account of all personal data, but leave the records in place. GDPR requires that we offer customers the option to have their personal data removed from our system, but currently there is not a quick and simple way to do that.

I second this, we've been running marketing campaigns recently and have had several customers reply asking for their account info to be removed.
Our policy is to keep all info for 36 months from the last order date and then give the customer the option to be removed after this time span has elapsed.
Being able to remove their personal info from their web store account would be ideal, but doing so without completely removing their order(s) and the like.
+1 from me.

We need this too. We need the ability to erase a user's data, but also give them the ability to opt-out of non-strictly necessary cookies as they enter the site for the first time. Non-strictly necessary cookies applies to Google Analytics.

Where are we at here with CCPA and GDPR? Seems like this is long overdue?
