##ITEMDESC## to show on Checkout Page

We often leave notes about a particular item in the notes field. They show on  the email confirmation, but the merge code does not work on the checkout page

it would be great if that merge code did work on the checkout page so that they are visible at hte point of purchase for the customer

  This is now completed and in version 2020.2.417.3+

  ##ITEMDESC## will mimic what's used in the emails confirmations (notes+personalization+variants).  But we ALSO added support for ##ITEMNOTE## as well for when you just want to place the note field separately.

  Definitely agreed - I could see a lot of potential in this for quote links, but also for reiterating information sent via quote emails (applied through item notes) that would not currently show on a modified checkout page
