Sanitize merge codes for SEO

When using merge codes for SEO titles and descriptions, we need to be able to sanitize the output. HTML markup is included, like with ##BULLETS## (one of the description fields for products), and we'd like the text inserted into the description tag without the html markup.

  Thanks for the request.

  Have you checked out product custom fields yet (https://support.americommerce.com/hc/en-us/articles/201903820)? You could create a product custom field for the SEO titles and descriptions and put the raw, "sanitized" text into that field (manually or with a product import). Its also worth mentioning that there are product level SEO and Meta tag fields in Settings > Catalog > Products > Edit Product > General.
