Disallow multiple coupons or discounts

I have not had ran as many sales nor offered as many coupons and discounts as I would like to because of the complications with these. Is there a feature on each discount where we can select the option to disallow coupons/discounts to be combined. I find this to be imperative and imagine that others would also. If I already have a particular item marked down but offer a coupon to new customers, I need to be sure they cannot combine the coupon with the already discounted price.

For example, a simple checkbox on the discount method that says "do not allow in combination with other discounts".

Also is it possible to disallow certain items from sales/discounts, in general? And, when creating a discount such as 10% off, can you add disqualifiers in addition to qualifiers?

My customers are bargain shoppers and my manufacturers are often quite strict so I have to be very careful about the discounts I offer.

  In the product detail page (where you create the product)- there is a checkbox that you can click that says "Do Not Discount" hopefully you can get that to work for you. Its under Misc.
