Apply Rewards as Pre-Tax Discount, show how many points were spent
We changed to applying rewards as pre-tax discounts so we could avoid footing the unnecessary bill for the taxes on orders that were entirely paid for by rewards points. However, now we can not refund the rewards using the built in refund process, and there is nothing that tells us how many rewards points were used on that order for us to manually refund the rewards. This has been an issue for us on several canceled orders as of late.
The simplest solution would probably be to say in the discount description how many points were used.
Current Discount Description: "Rewards Points"
Suggested Discount Description: "Rewards Points (5,228 Points Applied)"
Obviously it would be nice if there was a way to automatically refund rewards points if an order is canceled, but this would at least make it easy for us to know how many points we need to manually apply to the customer account.
