Search open shopping carts by customer email address

I am glad to see the feature to convert an abandoned cart into a manual order, but there are a couple things that would help us more fully utilize the feature. Most of the time when we would want to convert an open/abandoned shopping cart into a manual order, we have the customers email address, either they have emailed us or we are on a live chat with the customer.  Currently you can search by the customers name, but searching by the email does not work.

By Name:

 

By email address:

Being able to search by shopping cart id would be helpful as well, as we use the JS API and show the cart number in our mini cart:

Lookup by cart number would help us to pull up the cart if a customer is not logged in or is not registered with our site.

  Yes! It's frustrating, and I come off as an idiot when a customer is on the phone asking for help and I cannot more quickly find their cart. Searching email address would definitely help.

  I did discover that there is a workaround for now....

  You can search for customer carts by email address, however not under Carts but under Customers.  Search for the customer email address under the Customers advanced search:

  

  Click to edit the customer:

  

  Then click Carts:

   

   

  Not as simple as if you could just search the carts screen, but you can do it.
