5.0.30 - ALPHA

This release is more about small hotfixes and usability changes, but as always, we add a few more features to it.  Check out the new changes to the KnowledgeBase on www.myamericommerce.com also.

• FEATURE: Automated directed search to the product when searching by item number and only 1 item is brought back.  Instead of visiting the search page it will directly go to the product page assuming you intended to go there.  This could have been done through our great Directed Search module which will take certain search terms to any URL automatically, but this would be very tedious to populate for all old item numbers.  Less clicks to purchase = more revenue.
• FEATURE: Automatic Item Number history.  With each change to item number either via admin or import/export/api, the item number history will be updated automatically.  If a user searches for an old item number, search results will still return the new item, additionally it will work in concert with automated directed search and go directly to the product even when entering an old item number.  This new item nr history field can be edited via import/export and the product editor.

• FEATURE: Many new changes to the KnowledgeBase and more to come.  There is a huge internal focus to provide more full scale and in depth KnowledgeBase articles from here forward explaining each feature in depth.  Plan to see 1-5 new KB's a day from here on out.
