Add Google Product Category, UPC, ISBN etc for the GoogleBase (30)

Google now asking for Google Product Category Attribute in feed. Also asking for ISBN, UPC type colors going even into the variants of products. Could be added into product detail page. Maybe the Google Categories should a TAB and the list could be automatically updated to save us all time.

  This was completed, a mix of new product fields, custom fields and mappings were implemented to support google's complicated changes. We are working on a KB article to explain some of the options and best practices. It is slightly different depending on the type of business and if you use variant inventory or not.

  Agreed, it is very important that the Google feed be kept up to date to match Google requirements.

  I am sooo surprised there hasn't been an accommodation for Google Base category in AC yet. We do all of our own feed submissions from an intermediary database, but since I have gotten involved in some projects for New AC customers, I can see that this is missing. Simple solution: Create a new field on item level called Google CAtegory (or somethng like that That field gets pushe dout automatically in teh froogle submission via AC to populate the field in google. Sure there is no automatic way to match your categorization to google, so there is additional work on the product buildout.. but isn't it worth it for inclusion in google shopping? PLEASE add the field, or allow us to add custom fields on the item and merge it into the Froogle submission ... anyone else getting bad feedback from Google Base due to the missing category?

  wow... after a 3rd round of searching (not well taged for easy search), I can see this was solved using custom fields.... This vote should be closed by AC, shouldnt it?

  Thanks Brian, we are working on the documentation of the features now, it's currently only in the release history but a KB is on it's way. This was completed via a mix of new product fields, custom fields and mappings were implemented to support google's complicated changes.   To further this feature, we added google's GTIN field to variant inventory level sku's as well.
