Add ability to create a Contact Us Form, or any other custom forms directly in Americommerce (107)
CompletedWe are new to Americommerce, and just moved from multiple stores on corecommerce, big commerce, and volusion. Each and every one of these sites had the ability to create an unlimited amount of custom forms for submittal. We have 3 sites currently and each will have contacts us, warranty submittal, general inquiry, and quote forms with various specific questions including: free form entry, drop down selections, multi-select drop downs, yes/no, check boxes, etc. I have found that americommerce is lacking very badly in this area and it needs to be included in the base product. I am aware that I can customize HTML forms, or use a 3rd party, but why should we have to do that when it should just be drag and drop like the rest of the features in this awesome cart! Please vote this idea up!
Thanks,
Trent Greenawalt

We've added this feature in to 2015.1. Here is a KB article on how it works. http://support.americommerce.com/hc/en-us/articles/203791724-Contact-Form-Builder -
I agree. I've been doing all of my forms in iframes and it can be problematic. 0 -
Completely agree. The cart is awesome. The contact us (with variations) would be so obvious to have... 0 -
The "Thank you" page /Store/EmailFormProcessor.aspx should also have the option to change the "Thank you" message from "Thank you! Your submission has been received. We appreciate you visiting..." It does not right now. 0 -
Your system REALLY needs at least a simple contact form which just plugs in automatically if not already present in your themes. Obfuscated mail links are very NOT good and should never show up as default anymore as there are people who do not realize how quickly spambots pick up on those. 0 -
@Adam Cornfield, You can change the text on the page via store text. EmailFormProcessor_ThankYouMessage_string 0 -
It's kind of silly that this isn't a built-in feature... Any progress on this? 0 -
I agree - adding web forms is a basic building block these days. Preferably one with reCaptcha / noCaptcha built in too!!!!! 0
