Hide Select Countries on Front End (54)

Some customers only want to sell to a particular country. Although AmeriCommerce does display a 'we do not ship outside of regions' error message if they set this as a store setting, it would be nice to just filter the list down to only the countries a merchant wishes to support removing a lot of confusion for site visitors. Entertain adding a hide option for each country and if only 1 country is in the list, is there even any reason to show the whole select a country box/line anymore?

I agree with this wholeheartedly. All of the other well known shopping carts have this feature as part of their standard carts. This feature if added would probably be used by over 90% of your customers. 0 -

I gave this 3 votes... would give more if I could... this is a no-brainer and should have already been implemented ... I have people calling us because the cart won't take their order - when we explain that we don't ship outside North America, they exclaim "then why is (my country) listed in your shipping addresses?" They think we're lying to them. 0 -

I do need to ask the question... how hard can this be to implement? AC do some amazing, complicated & awesome dev work, but relatively simple features like this keep missing the boat! Can we pls just nail some of these 'no brainers'! 0 -
I agree with NGB, this is definitely a "no brainer"! It's just plain common sense...don't list countries you don't ship to in the shipping options. Let's get this one taken care of guys, we've been waiting long enough. 0 -
I'm thrilled to see you guys are finally starting this one! I would like to make one recommendation...in keeping with the multi-store focus of Americommerce, why not make this feature unique at the store level? When operating multiple stores in different niches, you may have one store that sells products that can be sold anywhere while another store may have products that are restricted for import into certain countries. Being able to edit the country list at the store level would help tremendously. 0 -
Just wanted to add my two cents to the previous comment. As a multi-store owner, I also need different countries by store. We can't sell into some countries as compared to others due to box sizes of products carried as well as using different carriers with different policies by store. Thanks!! 0
