My company sells fresh baked products that are mostly purchased by customers as gifts for others. They need to be able to purchase the product when it is convenient, but select the date it should be shipped. So, a calendar is needed for them to select the date it is to be shipped, then based on the shipping method (e.g. 2 day UPS ground), they will know when it arrives - and it would be nice to show that also. This was asked for gift cards, but needs to be available for any/all products if turned on.

  You can currently use personalization to ask for a date to ship the product. It doesn't automatically show when the shipment will arrive but this may get you started. It would be possible to show the arrival date on checkout based on the shipping method chosen by using some javascript that our implementors or other consultants can write. I still think this is a good idea though as a stock feature, let's give it some vote love and get it bumped up the list!

  A datepicker can also be put on the checkout page with an Order Custom Field. When you create the field just set the Input Type to Calendar/Date PIcker.
