Hotfixes & Small Tweaks - December

December's current initiative will be usability changes in the Administrative console, especially geared toward starting an initial online store along with some great new strategic developments for version 5.0.34 due out in the coming weeks.  Expect a new FTP browser, better store setup wizard, better add product wizard and better site content page management including a new wizard in that area.  A new task module is also being developed to train users as new features come out.  We have also added many new KnowledgeBase articles and integrated them into the popup help across the admin console to further our core initiative to provide better and more in depth support.

  • HOTFIX (33): Show mfg invoice amount on order view if entered (even if no invoice number was entered)
  • HOTFIX (33): Custom fields will only appear on the customer editor when the customer has already been saved and has an assigned ID, just like the Address Book and Credit Card info on that editor.

  • HOTFIX (33): Added additional error handling to the Google Checkout API and store-level wrapper to try and determine the cause of GC failures.&#160; Also added a retry to the send method where it will attempt 3 connections.

  • HOTFIX (33): Google Checkout zip code filter will now properly detect bad zip codes that have 5 numeric characters but exceed 5 characters overall.&#160; It will use the valid match as a zip code and disregard the remainder of the string.

  • HOTFIX (29, 33) - Fixed an issue that caused the save button on the Payment Gateways page to not always appear and fixed a minor cross-browser issue in the admin that generated whitespace around the orange breadcrumb area at the top of each admin page in Firefox and Google Chrome.
  • HOTFIX (29, 33): When importing categories, don't attempt to update a category's parent based on the lookupAbsoluteCategoryPath unless that column is included in the import file

  • HOTFIX (33): All store emails and error emails will now use the Message Queue instead of sending directly using the mail server as a relay server.&#160;
    • This will dramatically increase the speed of emailing and will dump the messages in the queue which will keep trying until the message can be sent.&#160; This is a much faster and better way to send the messages leaving the server to do the work instead of the website, thus speeding up checkout, mass mailings, etc.
  • HOTFIX (5.0.33): Added null check for admin theme control builder.
  • HOTFIX(5.0.x): Corrected the FedEx link and added DHL link to the shipping providers page

  • HOTFIX (5.0.33) - Fixed the custom fields validation issue on the registration page.
  • HOTFIX (5.0.33) - Google Checkout settings page will now function properly when switching between the settings pages for multiple stores. Previously it was only working for the store that was used to log into the admin console.

  • UPDATE (Main) &#8211; First round of changes to the Quick Product Entry.&#160; The look of the page has been updated, and now you can enter category trees into the category entry area just like with imports.&#160; Moved around some things, and added a bit of AJAX to the page for the category and manufacturer areas.
  • HOTFIX (5.0.29+) - If no billing address has been assigned to a PayPal Express order when the order is being placed, the billing address will be set to be the same as the shipping address.&#160; This addresses defect 687 where information was missing regarding the billing address, causing errors in the ## GOOGLECONVERSIONTRACKING## merge.
