FEATURE: Enhanced Product and Option Swatches

We’ve made the product option swatch immensely easier to use.  Put swatches of any size anywhere on the product page (even multiple sets of them) and when clicked they will change the primary picture (if set to) and will change the dropdown to the variant that is associated to the swatch.  Additionally, if you select it from the dropdown, that also will change the primary picture and select any swatches on the screen.

We have always had a way to auto-associate the swatches based on the variant name, but we’ve just added the ability to just set the image path to the Product Editor.  Set the swatch image and set the primary picture image too.  This let’s you more easily setup and test swatching.

Global swatches (handy for common swatches like colors) are also supported via auto-association.  If you don’t set one on the product level, but have a global swatch, it will display the global swatch.

There are styles wrapped around the selection for you to change the border color, size, placement, etc. for the selected swatch.  Move the swatches around the page using merges and layout options.
