discount rules apply to ANY category not just PRIMARY (27)

Right now, category discount rules only work for items when the PRIMARY category matches. This is impossible if yo manage more than 1 store, or have items in more than 1 category. We need another dropdown option: Category (any), which will apply teh promotion if the matching items reside in that category on any elvel, not just as primary.

  Discount rules now apply to the primary category and any category assigned to the product.

  I would like to be able to apply discount rules to product status. That way I could simply apply a discount to all "in stock" items. Or set a group of items to "sale" status and apply a rule to that. This would simplify certain types of discounting.

  AC did a modification for us on this allowing it to work on the 'lowest level category. We found a work around and it is doing the trick for us... time to take these votes back and spread them where they are needed most

  good stuff! now I don't need to create categories solely for discount purposes!
