allow sorting of shipping methods (10)

It would eliminate a lot of customer call backs if there was a default shipping method option, or the ability to sort the options besides just from lower to high price. Sometimes they don't care about pricing as much as provider.

I was just told that in Store Shipping options there is a sort order field in the grid and you can set the sort order there. This will allow the shipping options to be sorted based on your own values, and allow you to do it differently for each store.

I really would like to be able to sort the shipping method choice so Will Call is not the first option. If a customer is not paying close attention, they may think that shipping is free.

YES! The current method sorts in order of price, least expensive first. In my case, this is local pickup (free). Even after putting bold red text over the shipping options, people 500 miles away would submit an order with local pickup selected causing us to make many phone calls to correct shipping. I finally restricted local pickup to a smaller geographical area, but I would rather not do that. And still we get locals who don't choose a shipping method so it's submitted as local pickup but they really wanted it shipped. What a mess!

This is a big deal to me as well being able to dedicate which shipping option can be used based per product.
