Modifying shipping rates per product (4)

It would be great if we can modify our shipping rates by lowering them per product. Currently, we can only select Auto Calculation, Additional and Flat Rate. There is no way to subtract cost directly from the shipping. I don't want to have to do a discount because it isn't calculated into the visible shipping costs.

  Brett, Although it's not documented anywhere, you can actually put in a negative amount in the Rate Adjustment amount on the individual product on the shipping tab of a product and it will apply by subtracting that amount from the shipping for that specific product.
