Would love the ability to add a header/footer that ALL email templates use to maintain a consistent brand on emails without having to manually edit the HTML for every template. When an email is sent, the content of the email is grabbed from my predefined template and 'wrapped' in my custom header/footer. This would allow me to change the graphical look and feel across all of my emails (primarily HTML emails). I can achieve this now, but only via editing every single template individually.

  This might work, you may be able to create a custom merge with the content you want to encapsulate like that, then just link the merge in with it's ##MERGENAME## name you give it and the rendering engine may render it. Custom merges may not work from an email context though, but it may be worth a try. Feel free to report back here if it does or does not work. In the meantime, great idea and I hope it gets voted up!
