Overview
ConfigureTech's AutoLink.lookup Selling Solution allows you to sell configurable automotive accessories. ConfigureTech works with the manufacturer to create the Storefront presentation from the manufacturer's data, copy and images as if ConfigureTech was going to sell the products on their own site.
The Configuretech configurator requires an account with Configuretech. If you don't already have an account, you can apply for one with Configuretech at configuretech.com.
Follow these steps to enable the ConfigureTech configurator and add products from ConfigureTech’s catalog into your store.
Step 1. Turn on the ConfigureTech Add-on in the Admin
From the Cart Dashboard navigate to Apps & Addons > ConfigureTech.
In the field under App Settings enter the unique API key issued from ConfigureTech.
Step 2. Add Manufacturers
From the Cart dashboard navigate to Catalog > Manufacturers.
Specify the BrandCode for the Manufacturer in the BrandCode field. The Brands and Brand Codes are available from ConfigureTech.
Step 3. Add ConfigureTech Products to the Catalog
Once you add a product, assign it to one of the Manufacturer’s that you setup in the previous step.
Then navigate the new tab named Configurators.
Select Configuretech.
Specify the Product Line Code for that product. The current list of these codes are available from Configuretech.
Step 4 View on Product Details Page
When viewing the product details page clicking on Customize & Add To Cart button will pop a modal window.
After selecting the fitment, options and color, you can add them all to the cart together.
Clicking on View Cart / Checkout will direct the user to the (theme setting) action that happens after adding an item to the cart. It will either refresh the page, go to the Cart page or to the Checkout page.
Note: The ##ITEMDESCRIPTION## merge code should be used in the Header HTML(for the small cart) and in the Large Cart HTML, so the user can see the which item is which.
Without the description merge code, the cart looks like this:
