Overview
The Active Countries feature allows store owners to control which countries can place orders. Additionally, this feature now includes an option to block all traffic from specific countries using the More Actions menu.
Configuring the Active Countries List
The Active Countries list determines which countries are allowed to place orders in your store, by hiding them as an option. It is also suggested to block traffic from a country if you do not do business there.
Removing Countries from the Active List
- Log into the admin panel.
- Navigate to Settings > Store Information > Active Countries.
- Find the country you want to remove.
- Check the box next to the country name.
- Click More Actions > Hide Selected to disable the country for orders.
Note: Hidden countries can be re-enabled at any time by returning to this menu and selecting the countries to add back.
Blocking Traffic by Country
In addition to controlling orders, you can now block all traffic from specific countries directly from the Active Countries list.
- Go to Settings > Store Information > Active Countries.
- Select the countries you want to block.
- Click More Actions > Block Traffic from Country.
- Confirm the action to apply the block.
Note: When a country is blocked, all IP addresses associated with that country will be denied access to the store. Blocked countries can be edited in the Traffic Firewall. To learn more, see our article on Review and Block Traffic by Country
