Overview
AmeriCommerce provides store owners with numerous themes at no extra cost. Whether you are new to the platform or just looking to spice up your website, this article will walk your through installing, activating and making a few basic changes to your new theme.
Installing a Theme
Log in to Admin:
Navigate to Themes, then click on New in the upper right of your screen.
From our list of available stock themes, hover your mouse over the theme you want to add and select view.
You can select Live Demo to preview the theme or your can click Install in the top right corner of your screen. 
Installing a theme does not immediately apply it to your active website. This is the case to allow store owners to experiment or update their themes with out affecting their live site.
Once your new theme is installed, you will find it under "Recently Installed Themes" within your themes dashboard. You can either select "preview" to view/edit your the theme without making it live, or select the gear icon and select activate to make this your active theme.
Change Logo
There are two ways you can edit/change your logo within AmeriCommerce. You can either use Live Design or make the changes through the back end.
Live Design Method:
When viewing your theme on the front end you can open live design by selecting the painters pallet in the top left of your screen and switch to widget view which is illustrated in the screen shot below.
You can then hover over the widget area and you will see the edit, delete and add icons.
Depending on your theme, this will either be an Image/Logo widget or a Custom HTML widget like the one below.
If your theme is using the merge codes depicted above, close out of the widget editor and select Global Theme Settings towards the bottom of the Live Design overlay. Open up the header tab and you will find the location to upload a new logo.
If your widget does not look like the above mentioned, your theme may be using the widget specifically for an image or logo. If this is the case you can either drag and drop an image from your desktop or insert an image from your store files in the area shown below.
If your theme doesn't have either of these options or you would like to simply change how your store implements your logo, you can remove the existing widget and add the one you desire by selecting "Add New Widget" when in live design or in the dashboard. The widgets in the examples above are labeled "Custom HTML" and "Image/Logo" respectively.
Dashboard Method:
When in the dashboard you can navigate to Themes at the bottom left and click edit on the theme you wish to alter. On the left, select Header > Widgets and you will see something similar to the screenshot below. This is where you can edit, add or delete your widgets located in your themes header area. Selecting edit on a widget will open the widget specific settings.
If your theme is using the custom HTML widget with the merge codes for your logo, you can find the settings for your stores logo in Themes > Edit > Global Theme Settings under the header specific settings.
Change Fonts/Colors
Open Live Design and select the Design tab.
You will then see the various categories of the page's elements that you are capable of editing. The screenshot below illustrates changing the pages text and background color.
You are also capable choosing a pre-existing background texture or uploading your own image by selecting an option for Pattern/Texture.
If you upload your own image and it doesn't fill the entire area, you can enable the horizontal and/or vertical repeat as shown above.
