Setting Up Automatic Review Request Emails
Overview
Sending out emails asking for product reviews is a feature built into the system. This is useful for populating your products with reviews from verified customers. In this guide, you will learn how to set up automatic review request emails to ensure customers are prompted to leave feedback on their purchases.
Setting Up Automatic Review Request Emails
To begin, follow these steps to configure the review request email process:
- Set up an Email Template asking customers to leave a review.
- Once the email template is ready, navigate to Settings > Catalog > Product Reviews.
- Ensure that reviews are enabled on your store.
In the bottom section of the Product Reviews settings, you will find options for configuring the automatic review emails:
- Select the Review Request Email Template that was created in the previous step.
- Set the Number of Days to Send After to determine when the email should be sent. Make sure to give customers enough time to experience the product before sending the request.
- Configure the Review Request Trigger. This trigger will be the order status that starts the countdown until the review request is sent. Typically, this is set to the Shipped status.
- Enable the Send Review Request Emails option.
Note: Ensure that you save your changes after configuring the settings.
Your customers will now automatically receive review request emails based on the settings configured above.
