Overview
Your store can automatically calculate shipping based on USPS rates. In order to set this up, you'll first need register for USPS Developer Portal.
Register for USPS Developer Portal
The following steps are for receiving a USPS API keys :
- Navigate to USPS Developer Portal .
- Login if you already have an account or click Sign Up.
- You should see the Home page when you first log in (Note: your home page may look different than this image)
- Next, Click on Getting Started in the top menu
- On the next page you should see the link for the USPS Customer Onboarding Portal (COP), click the link
- On the next page, the Onboarding Portal, click the "My Apps" link at the top
- Now, you should be on the USPS Developer Portal, click the tab for "Developer Apps"
- Now you should have a button for "Add App"
- You may be presented with a pop up to accept the USPS Terms, check the box, and click "I Agree"
- In your new App settings: Fill in the App name, and be sure to check the box for "Public Access"
- After clicking "Add App" at the bottom, you should be on the page to get your new API Credentials
Connecting USPS to Cart.com
- Navigate to Storefront > Settings > Shipping > Shipping Providers and click on edit USPS
- Copy the Consumer Key and Secret from your USPS App, set it active and Save.
- Click on More Actions -> Test to verify your API keys are working.
