    Stone Edge Order Management system integration with AmeriCommerce

    I use StoneEdge Order management system for our websites. It is at a nice price point (compared to OrderMotion or MOM) and has most all of the features that our company websites need. I am trying to get our sites connected and have been quoted to do the work on DevShare. I understand that they're several StoneEdge users our here using AmeriCommerce sites that could benefit from the same integration. This could drive down the cost for all of us and greatly improve the functionality.  I would like to hear from other StoneEdge users.

    Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;}

    Sorry I have not checked this in a while.

    You are correct. I have almost completed MedPatches.com which was one of our dormant websites. I am in the middle of updating all the info, quantity discounts, etc. etc. when I ran into the StoneEdge part of the ingregration issue. We will be moving forward with the StoneEdge integration this week but it will take a month or two. I am still using BVcommerce ver. 2004.9 but it is badly out of date.

    StoneEdge needs to take the part numbers exactly. It won't let you take say part number #123 with added comments about Size: Med. Color: Red. Etc. It could only take a specific part number like #123-M-R that represents the complete product (like how a UPC code works) But it means that you need EVERY Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} VARIATION plugged into StoneEdge or it will hang. So needless to say, this integration project just got 10 times larger than I thought to get not only complete web orders but also complete inventory control.

     I was told by Americommerce that someone else was interested in the same Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} integration but backed out when the ecomony went bad. Intagrating AC with StoneEdge will save our two person office team over 600 hours a year in data entry alone and another 100 hours of pick-pack and shipping labeling time. Economy or not , the labor costs (and lost productivity time) cost us far more than the AC programing fee. I was just tring to get one or two more StoneEdge users to help cut the costs for all of us by 1/2 to 2/3.

    Thanks for asking

    Re: An Update on StoneEdge Integration

    Sorry for all the coding that got stuck in the earlier messages. Americommerce has finished the intergration/connection with StoneEdge Order Manager for us and it seems to work well. We still have few questions, but you click a few buttons in StoneEdge and the orders drop into process. We like to authorize each card on the AC side and then manually apporve the order before we send it into the process. We then charge the customer when we can confirm the product is in stock (many of our stock items are customized, kitted, or assembled for each customer and we are still in the process of inventoring all our stock) but this still saves us alot of time in order entry. StoneEdge once fully up to speed will save us about 40% of wasted time with our orders at half the price of the OM systems we looked at.

    We are still a little unclear if the customer status will be uploaded into AC from StoneEdge, but we hope that works as well.  AC is now attaching the other 6 of our AC sites to our StoneEdge server in time for the Xmas holidays. (to be done by Aug 31, 2009)

    We do about 10-25 order per day. The larger StoneEdge cleints are doing up to 400 order a day with no problems.  Until we get over 200K orders per year (and I can't imagne that happening in my life time) this should be a great solution in our new configuration.

    Thanks again.
