Setting Up Navigation Links
From the Admin console, select Content > Navigation/Links
Once Site Explorer loads select the store you want to work with is from the left hand tree navigation
To add any links to your site you must first add a Link Group. To add a link group Select the 'New' button in the upper right corner
You will then see the following screen in the content area of Site Explorer:
1. To create the Link Group give it a Name ( Display Text)
2. Select the store you want it to show in (The "Store' drop down will be pre-populated,verify that is the store you want to add the link group to)
3. Choose the Parent Group 'Root'
4. Leave the hid section un-check (unless you wish to hide the link group)
5. Leave 'Open in New Window' unchecked for link groups.
6. Select the 'Type' as Link Group(Folder)
7. For simplest link group configuration leave 'Associated Link', and 'Drop Down Menu Settings' blank.
8. Click Save in the upper right hand corner.
The form should not look something like the next screen shot.
You can now look on your left-hand tree menu and see your newly create Link Group, Header Navigation. When you click on this link group, it will be highlighted.
Select your new Link Group in the left hand Tree Navigation, and the click 'New' in the upper right hand corner.
The steps to create a 'Link' are similar to the steps for creating a 'Link Group'
1. To create the Group give it a Name (Display Text)
2. Select the store you want it to show in (The "Store' drop down will be pre-populated, verify that is the store you want to add the link group to)
3. Choose the Parent Group( this will be the link group you just created/Selected in the Tree Navigation. If it is not pre-selected select in now from the drop down)
4. Leave the hide section un-check (unless you wish to hide the link group)
5. Leave 'Open in New Window' unchecked unless you want the link to open in new browser window.
6. Select the 'Type' as one of the following
a. Content Page (An informational page)
I. To select a Content Page (existing) Click the Browser Button to the right.
II. A popup window will open with a list of available content pages from the store that is assigned to the link Group
III. Expand the tree navigation and select Content page you wish to link to.
IV. Then click the ‘Select’ button.
b. External Link (this links to a page out site your AmeriCommerce Store, ex. http://wwww.google.com)

c. Product (this is link to one of the product you are selling in your AmeriCommerce Store)
I. Enter the Item Number for the product you wish to link to in the search terms Box.
II. Click the ‘Go’ button.
III. Click the yellow ‘Plus sign’ To the right of the item number you want to link to.
IV. The selected Item will be displayed in the section ‘Selected Product’
d. Storefront Page (this is a page that cannot be created like the home page, My Account. etc.)
I. Choose the Store front page you want to link to in ‘Chose Storefront Page’ drop dorwn
7. For simplest link group configuration leave 'Associated Link', and 'Drop Down Menu Settings' blank.
8. Click Save in the upper right hand corner.
After the settings are in place and you have clicked "Save" in the upper right hand corner you will see the new link, under the new link group
