How do I turn on static HTML pages to make the urls more search engine friendly?

Go to Themes > [Active Theme] and check "Use .html extension instead of .aspx" under Global Theme Settings. Soon you will be able to supply your preferred extension here instead of having to choose .html or .aspx.
